This crew spent last week at Orange Beach for Fall Break. We were missing a few of our favorites…Todd, Mitch, Tristan, and Anna-Grace.
On Saturday the 20th we loaded up the Battle Bus (what my kids and nephews have loving nicknamed my Suburban) and Townes (18), Stockton (14), Arlo (10), Bonnie-Rose (8), Ada (6) and I headed to Orange Beach for the week. Some people thought I was crazy for taking all those kids by myself, but seriously they were so good. The drive was easy and everyone maintained their sanity. We made it with minimal stops and zero tears!
First stop Buc-ee’s to potty, get gas and get a picture with Buc-ee himself!
Stop number two for lunch drive thru style at Zaxby’s.
Stop number three in podunk Alabama at the world’s sketchiest gas station to go potty!
The girls and I went to the jankiest Walmart for a 3 hour shopping experience. Why 3 hours??? We had to checkout through U Scan! These two were complete troopers!
The next morning the girls were up bright and early so it was off to Publix to get the rest of the items we could not get the night before, oh and some amazing and over priced sand toys!
Admiring the view and waiting for it to hit 60 degrees so I would take them to the beach!
First day on the beach and the kids were so happy…so was I!
Me and my not so littlest guy. He has passed me up in height, Now his goal is to pass Tristan…
Off to the hot tub to warm up a bit…
A healthy lunchable poolside…when you are with Aunt Leah this is what happens!
Little bits enjoying the lazy River. I walked the perimeter as she floated. I got my steps in that day!
Monday morning beach walk waiting for the rest of the crew to arrive that afternoon and night.
When you mix a sandy floor with a kid that is complete grossed out by a sandy floor, miracles happen. Said teen offers to vacuum the entire condo before the next group arrives.
Another day, another beach selfie!
Little Miss wanted to take lots of pictures to send to Mommy and Daddy!
When you lead a webinar while on vacation you have business casual on the top and Stockton’s PJ bottoms on the bottom! Haha!
Once the rest of the adults and kids arrived I made a quick trip to Houston to meet Todd for my pre op scans and appointments at MD Anderson. This plane was tiny and I was not impressed with the amount of turbulence.
We made it through 4 appointments and my scans were stable. I signed up to participate in a research study my surgeon is doing. I also go the go ahead for surgery!
Meanwhile Uncle Kyle was the funcle and took all the boys to an oyster bar!
Anna-Grace was spotted on the Assumption Walk and Mandy sent me this selfie!
Our last day on the beach was perfect. Good bye beach, until we meet again!
So happy you were able to do this trip! Great memories for all, I’m sure! Love the pictures…you are still such a beautiful person, inside and out! 💕
